Brisbane Duo / Band 172 – This band consisting of a stunning female vocalist combined with a tight line up of bass, drums and electric guitar aim to bring you a fun, energy filled experience. Mixing up funky dance numbers, old school soul, with pop & rock classics, this band has something for everyone from their vast repertoire of hit songs.
With an impressive performance history of over 10 years from performing to around 25,000 people at Suncorp Stadium opening up a Broncos football match in 2017, to being the opening act for Aussie icons Daryl Braithwaite twice (2012 & 2014) and also the Choirboys (2007), to entertaining on a week long P&O cruise to Vanuatu as “guest entertainers”, through to performing at countless large corporate events for high profile companies, you can be assured of quality music and an extremely professional service.
All lineups are completely live, no backing tracks are used and everything you hear is done there and then in the moment. The 4, 5, or 6 piece band lineups are an incredibly entertaining choice to get everyone on the dance floor at corporate events, weddings, and private parties of any size being able to cater as background music right through to high energy dance tunes.
Their acoustic duo featuring female vocalist and acoustic guitarist specialises in setting the mood with classy background music or easy listening tunes. 4, 5, or 6 piece band lineups are recommended for small, medium, or large events where dancing is the main focus of the live music. The acoustic duo is recommended as light entertainment due to the acoustic nature of their sound, but can however provide party music for very small gatherings such as birthday parties or housewarmings catering to less than 50 guests.
We provide a professional quality PA & band lighting system suitable for anywhere from a few up to 200 guests. Events with more than 200 guests require an additional fee for larger production. We play music during our breaks either from our iPod or yours to keep the mood or dance floor going. We tailor our set list for the night around your speeches & formalities as well as genre choice. We can provide a wireless microphone for you to use for speeches.
Available as:
*Acoustic duo – female vocalist & acoustic guitar.
*4 piece band – female vocalist, bass, drums & electric guitar.
*5 piece band – as above with sax. Adding adding an exceptional amount of class and a whole new dimension to the sound.
*6 piece band – as above with two female vocalists out front plus sax. Lush vocal harmonies and infectious sax solos.

Band 172 are a vibrant, talented and professional cover band. They recently played at our wedding and the music was a hit with all our guests. I can’t recommend them highly enough if you’re looking for an upbeat, fun and great sounding band. They are AWESOME!
We could not have asked for a better performance. Everyone at the event commented on how good they were and they played a great variety of music. They even started off playing relaxed tunes, gradually picking up the tempo throughout the night and getting everyone dancing. good stuff!
Had them for our EOFY dinner and they were amazing. Everyone loved the music and the vibe they had going. Definitely will get them for future events. 5 stars
We had this band for our Social Club Ball and they were a massive hit! They played a wide range of music to please everyone and we had a great dance floor by the end of the night. Would definitely recommend this band to anyone, very professional and entertaining!
This band is fantastic! We had them at our Christmas party and everyone commented on how good they sounded. Their choice of songs were perfect for our group and they had everyone up on the dance floor. Will definitely use them again in the future!
