Sydney Jazz Band 156 has existed since 1975 – Conceived by the late and brilliant Californian Tom Baker, the band has, however, been continuously led by one of the members since 1978, the personnel changing little in that time.
The band shines when playing traditional, Dixieland style Jazz with a vast repertoire, suitable for concert performance, or for dancing – is also capable of toning down to play background music when required.
Sydney Jazz Band 156 has performed at many Jazz Festivals around Australia.
Can perform as a: 5 Jazz Piece Band and are available to perform in Sydney and Surrounding Areas.
